The Charms

The Hamsa: I like to think of it as our 3rd eye, to help look within and get to know our inner self. The Hand (Khamsa) also has long represented blessings, power and strength and is thus seen as potent in deflecting the evil eye. In Islamic tradition, the hand of Fatima “represents the hand of God, divine power, providence and generosity.”

The Music Note: I used the music note to coincide with my music project, aside from the fact that music is the soundtrack to our lives. “Music produces a kind of pleasure from which human nature cannot do without,” said Confucius, the ancient Chinese philosopher. William Shakespeare used far fewer words, “If music be the food of love, play on.”

The Key: I used the “key” charm to remind you that, “We have the key to open all of our desires and dreams.” The key is an object symbolic of unlocking and accessing powers. It represents knowledge, mystery, initiation, and curiosity.
